Staying safe: How we’re keeping loved ones healthy

17 Mar Staying safe: How we’re keeping loved ones healthy

Dear Families,
We hope everyone is faring well during these trying times. Here at Harbor View we are doing all we can to ensure your loved ones are being cared for in a safe and healthy environment. We appreciate the trust you place in us and will remain in contact with you so that you know how we are addressing the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.

According to the latest CDC and Department of Health guidelines, which we’ve been continuously monitoring, the best way to reduce the risk of infection is to remain physically isolated as much as possible. To that end, we’ve barred any visitors from entering the community. Any essential staff members who must enter will have their temperature taken first, will wear face masks if in contact with any of our residents, and will follow CDC hand-washing practices. At this time we respectfully request that no resident leave the building for any period of time. We are committed to keeping everyone safe!

We know how important staying connected with family is. While in-person visits are prohibited as per state Dept of Health regulations, we’ve provided tablets to enable digital visits and connectivity. To arrange a video call or FaceTime session, simply contact mbrownworth@ambercourtal.com, and we’ll be happy to help schedule your call!

Worried about COVID-19? Here’s what you can do:
Social Distancing:
Social distancing is the practice of keeping physically away from others, to contain the spread of infectious diseases. Some practices include:

Disinfecting:

Wash your hands often, especially when coming in from outside or interacting with others.

Use gloves when touching public surfaces like doorknobs, shopping carts, and elevator buttons.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation, and let’s all pray that we as a whole emerge healthy and stronger.
